Where is the church?The Gladstone Baptist Church is located in Gladstone, a coastal port on the Central Queensland Coast, Australia. Our address is 4 Archer Street, Sun Valley. - Coming from Kin Kora Shopping Centre, head East along Phillip Street through the traffic lights and over the hill. Archer Street is second left as you come down the hill. - Coming from the city, drive South along Glenlyon Street and then turn right on Philip Street. Archer Street is the third street on the right. - Coming from Boyne Island or Tannum Sands, drive to Gladstone and turn left on Philip Street (the first round about when you get to Gladstone). Drive through the next round about and you will find Archer Street is the third street on the right. The Church grounds are at the top of the rise and on the left. The Worship Centre is at the end of the drive. Click here to see a map. What time is the service?Sunday morning at 9.30am and Sunday Evening at 6.30pm. Click here to see more information on what we do. Do we have a youth service?Yes every month we have a Youth Service where we encourage the youth to take part. The music is more “up beat” at these services. We also have a childrens service every quarter where the whole service is geared to children and the children's ministries take part in the service. Click here to see information about our services. What Style of Service Do You Have?We would describe our services as contemporary, with a balance of older and new music. The evening services are slightly more "youth" orientated. We are not a charasmatic church, but we are not anti-charasmatic. Do we have crèche facilities?Yes we have crèche which is run during the sermon during the school term. Click here to find out more. Do we have a Sunday School?No we do not have a Sunday School. We do, however, have a Children's Church for Prep to year7 which runs during the sermon during school term. Do you have anything at the church for my children to attend during the week?Yes, we have a KOGS group. This stands for Kids on God's Side. It is run on a Friday Night for children from year 1 to year 7. Boys and Girls Brigade meet on a Thursday and Tuesday night respectively and there is a Playgroup called Squeals on Wheels for pre-schoolers run on Tuesday , Thursday and Friday mornings. BYG House is the youth program run on a Saturday night. Is the Church Building Available for Functions and Other Activities?Yes, we hire the building to various groups
for craft and meetings. There is a hire fee and details can be obtained
